"Ella & Ellington" at Sandler Center for the Performing Arts
Sandler Center for the Performing Arts, 201 Market Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23462
Attention Virginia Beach/Norfolk area fans and friends! I'm thrilled to be returning for this concert in partnership with Virginia Arts Festival, as part of the TowneBank Jazz Series with Jimmy Masters. From the website:
"Ella & Ellington" will feature renowned vocalist Lena Seikaly, who performed for the Virginia Arts Festival on the Attucks Jazz Series several years back and was one of eleven semi-finalists for the prestigious 2015 Thelonious Monk Institute International Jazz Vocals Competition in L.A. This concert will celebrate two of the jazz world's most significant artists—vocalist Ella Fitzgerald and composer/bandleader Duke Ellington.
Joining Lena will be John Toomey on piano, Jimmy Masters on bass, and Frank Russo on drums.
